Hello and welcome to my Illustrative Wonder World!
I deeply believe that in my illustrative art, I am subconsciously trying to reflect the world around me.
It is my surroundings, my relatives and friends (both human and four legged), the places I visit and the people I meet daily that inspire me to draw.
The world around me, however, in my head passes through a specific filter of often non-obvious associations returning
to events or images from the past. So my drawings are not a realistic representation of the world around me, but rather a projection of my imagination about it.
The illustrations I create are modern in style, but they have a certain nostalgia of the past. I like to experiment and play with form and color. Sometimes I reach for naïve art style but I also love the clarity of expression that the poster art carries. In my drawing stories, I also like to refer to comic art style, but I tend not to enclose myself in one defined form both in terms of artistic expression and also the content it carries.
That is why I create different illustrations for different recipients. In my portfolio you will find drawings typical in form to children books' illustration, but also funny stories in the childrens' illustration style but more serious in its content.
